How much is 1,380 RP in USD?

1,380 RP costs $10.99 in North America. The best per-dollar value is the $99.99 bundle, which gives 13,500 RP (about 135 RP per dollar). NA pricing has been unchanged since August 2022; most other regions saw RP price increases in September 2024.

LoL Skin Tiers Explained

LoL skins are organized into eleven distinct tiers, each with its own RP cost, visual changes, and acquisition method. The tier system has expanded significantly since 2024 with the addition of Exalted, Transcendent, and Mythic Variant skins, all of which are tied to Riot's Sanctum gacha system or limited Hall of Legends events.

  • Standard Skins (390–975 RP)

Standard skins are the most affordable and most numerous in LoL. They feature recolors and minor model changes without new animations, sound effects, or voice lines. The 390 RP tier represents Riot's earliest skin releases (2009–2010) and includes Goth Annie, White Mage Veigar, and Black Belt Udyr. The 520, 750, and 975 RP tiers add progressively more visual polish. Standard skins remain the most reliable budget option for filling out a champion's wardrobe and are frequently discounted in the weekly Skin Sale rotation.

  • Epic Skins (1,350 RP)

Epic skins are the most common premium tier in LoL, priced at 1,350 RP. They include new animations, custom sound effects, particle changes, and recall animations. Most modern thematic releases - PROJECT, Star Guardian, Battle Academia, Coven, Spirit Blossom - launch at the Epic tier. Patch 26.8 added three new Epic skins: PsyOps Vladimir, PROJECT: Sivir, and Space Groove Zac, alongside the Mythic Variant PROJECT: Command Line Master Yi. Epic skins are eligible for Hextech Crafting and the weekly sale rotation.

  • Legendary Skins (1,820 RP)

Legendary skins are full thematic reworks priced at 1,820 RP. They include all Epic-tier features plus new voice-over recording, redesigned ability animations, and unique gameplay interactions. There are over 110 Legendary skins in LoL. Recent Legendaries include Aegis Frame Galio (Patch 26.2, January 2026), Demoncursed Vayne (Patch 26.9, April 2026), and Fried Chicken King Swain (April Fools 2026, Patch 26.7). Legendary skins for popular champions like Yasuo, Ahri, and Ezreal are among the most-purchased premium skins each year.

  • Ultimate Skins (3,250 RP)

Ultimate skins are the highest individual-purchase tier, priced at 3,250 RP, with the exception of Gun Goddess Miss Fortune (2,775 RP). They feature multi-form transformations, evolving models during gameplay, or unique mechanics. There are exactly 7 Ultimate skins: Pulsefire Ezreal, Spirit Guard Udyr, DJ Sona, Elementalist Lux, Gun Goddess Miss Fortune, K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine, and Soul Fighter Samira. Riot has not released a new Ultimate skin since Soul Fighter Samira in July 2023, focusing instead on the Exalted tier introduced in late 2024.

  • Mythic and Prestige Skins

Mythic skins are exclusive to the Mythic Shop and require Mythic Essence (ME) to acquire - a currency earned through Battle Pass progression, Sanctum pulls, Hextech Chests, and event orbs. Mythic skins like Hextech Annie or Ashen Knight Pyke cost 100 ME on debut and 125 ME on unvault. Prestige skins are gold-themed reskins of existing Epic or Legendary skins, priced at 150 ME or unlocked via the paid Battle Pass capstone. There are over 35 Prestige skins in rotation, with new releases each Battle Pass Act.

  • Mythic Variant Skins (Sanctum exclusive)

Mythic Variant skins are premium reimaginings of existing Legendary skins, exclusive to The Sanctum gacha system. There are 14 Mythic Variant skins in LoL in 2026, covering Ahri, Ekko, Aurelion Sol, Garen, Jhin, Zed, Darius, Nami, Miss Fortune, Yasuo, Yone, Lee Sin, Lucian, and Master Yi (PROJECT: Command Line Yi, patch 26.8). The Sanctum guarantees a Mythic Variant at 40 pulls, costing approximately 16,000 RP. Each pull costs 400 RP (Ancient Sparks), with a 0.5% base drop rate per pull.

  • Exalted Skins (the gacha top tier)

Exalted skins are the highest tier obtainable through the Sanctum, introduced with Arcane Fractured Jinx in patch 14.24 (December 2024). There are 5 Exalted skins in LoL: Arcane Fractured Jinx, Radiant Serpent Sett, Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser, Spirit Blossom Morgana, and Revenant Reign Viego (Patch 26.2, January 2026). The Sanctum guarantees an Exalted skin at 80 pulls, with a maximum cost of 32,000 RP (about $240 USD). Exalted skins feature multiple transformation forms, custom recall sequences, and bespoke ability VFX.

  • Transcendent Skins (Hall of Legends)

Transcendent skins are the most expensive tier ever introduced in LoL, exclusive to Hall of Legends inductees. Two exist in 2026: Signature Immortalized Legend Ahri (Faker, June 2024) at 59,260 RP / $450, and Signature Immortalized Legend Kai'Sa (Uzi, June 2025) at 58,865 RP / $453. Each Hall of Legends event offers a tiered bundle: Risen (~$45), Immortalized (~$246), and Signature Immortalized (~$450). The Signature versions include the player's digital signature, unique transformations, and structure-finisher VFX.

  • Limited, Legacy, and Rare Skins

Limited and Legacy skins are no longer available for direct purchase. The rarest skins in this category include the PAX series (Twisted Fate 2009, Jax 2010, Sivir 2011), Black Alistar, Silver Kayle, Young Ryze, King Rammus, and Riot Squad Singed. Riot disabled all promotional skin codes by 2014, making these skins effectively impossible to acquire today. The annual Victorious skin ( Victorious Braum for the 2026 season) is also limited but still obtainable via ranked play during its season.

LoL Skin Prices and RP Costs in 2026

LoL skin prices range from 390 RP for basic recolors to 59,260 RP for the most expensive Signature Immortalized Legend bundles. Riot Points are purchased in bundles starting at $4.99 (575 RP), with the best value at $99.99 (13,500 RP). North American RP pricing has remained unchanged since August 2022.

2,800 RP$21.99127

How Often Are LoL Skins Discounted?

Riot offers skin discounts through five primary channels: the Weekly Skin Sale (5 skins rotated each Tuesday at up to 50% off), Your Shop (personalized 60% discounts that return 4–6 times per year), bundle pricing during seasonal events, the Mythic Shop rotation for re-vaulted Mythic skins, and Hextech Crafting (using Orange Essence to unlock skin shards from chests).

Why NA RP Pricing Hasn't Changed Since 2022

Riot's August 2022 pricing adjustment standardized North American RP costs at the rates that still apply today. The September 2024 global price update raised RP costs in most regions by up to 70% but explicitly excluded North America, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. NA players continue to receive the most favorable RP-to-USD ratio of any major region.

The Faker Hall of Legends collection in June 2024 represented Riot's first foray into the $400+ skin tier and triggered widespread player debate about premium pricing in LoL. Uzi's Hall of Legends bundle followed a year later at a similar price point. Both Transcendent skins are no longer purchasable and cannot be obtained through any current means.

The Rarest LoL Skins You Can No Longer Get

The rarest LoL skins are no longer obtainable through any normal means. Most were distributed via promotional codes that Riot disabled by 2014. Several were given to the first ~20,000 attendees of specific PAX conventions. Today they remain on accounts of long-time players or are traded on secondary markets.

Riot has consistently stated that legacy promotional skins will not return to the store, framing rarity as a reward for early supporters. The Sanctum gacha introduced in 2024 has not recycled any of these legacy skins. The only legitimate way to add one to your collection today is buying an account that already owns the skin. Champions with the Most Skins in LoL

Lux and Miss Fortune lead the LoL skin count with 22 skins each in 2026. Every champion in the top five has been in the game since 2011 or earlier, reflecting Riot's preference for adding skins to established, high-pick-rate champions.

How to Get Free LoL Skins in 2026

Free LoL skins come from six active sources in 2026. Riot's January 2025 removal of Champion Mastery chests caused a major player backlash, and most chest mechanics were restored via the Battle Pass system in March 2025. Prime Gaming's partnership with Riot ended in March 2024 and has not been replaced.

  • Hextech Chests (Battle Pass)

Hextech Chests return in 2026 through the free Battle Pass track. Players earn 8 chests + keys per Act on the free Pass, plus 2 additional chests through Honor progression - for a total of 10 chests per Act and approximately 60 chests per year across the six Acts. Each chest can drop a skin shard, champion shard, ward skin, emote, or chroma. Skin shards can be unlocked permanently using Orange Essence (250–950 OE depending on tier). For the complete breakdown of which chests drop which rewards, see our 2026 Hextech Chest guide.

  • Honor Level Rewards

Reaching Honor Level 5 each season grants a Honor 5 capsule containing free skins, chromas, and a guaranteed Grey Warwick or Medieval Twitch unlock token. Honor levels reset annually, but the unlock tokens remain on your account permanently. Maintaining Honor Level 5 also contributes to a Battle Pass XP bonus and qualifies you for additional Hextech Chest drops at the start of each Act.

  • The Victorious Skin (Annual Ranked Reward)

The Victorious skin is awarded each ranked season to players who win 15 ranked games and reach Honor Level 3. The Season 1 2026 Victorious skin is Victorious Braum, available starting in patch 26.9 (April 29, 2026). Riot abandoned the older Gold-or-higher rank requirement in 2023 in favor of the win-based system, making the Victorious skin attainable for nearly all active players.

  • Mythic Shop and Mythic Essence

Mythic Essence (ME) is earned passively through Hextech Chests (3.6% drop chance for 10 ME), Sanctum pulls, the paid Battle Pass (25 ME at level 32), and event orbs. Accumulated ME is spent in the Mythic Shop on Prestige skins (150 ME), Mythic skins (100–125 ME), and Hextech-line skins. The shop rotates approximately every two months - check the in-client store for the current rotation.

  • Mystery Gifts and Your Shop

Mystery Gifts are random skin gifts purchased by friends - recipients receive a skin owned by zero champions on their account, weighted toward champions they own. Your Shop is Riot's personalized 60%-off discount system that returns 4–6 times per year, offering up to six discounted skins selected based on your champion play history.

  • What's No Longer Available

Champion Mastery chests (S, S+, and S- grade rewards) were removed in January 2025 and have not been restored. Masterwork Chests were also discontinued. The Riot × Amazon Prime Gaming partnership ended on March 14, 2024, with no replacement program announced. Any skin-acquisition guide that lists Champion Mastery chests or Prime Gaming as current sources is outdated. Use this guide for current 2026 mechanics only.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Edge cases on owning, gifting, refunding, and trading LoL skins. For high-volume questions, see Quick Answers at the top of the page.

LoL skins are cosmetic and provide no gameplay advantage, but many players find them worthwhile for personal expression and prestige. Most active players purchase 2–5 skins per year, focusing on champions they main. Free options (Hextech Chests, Honor rewards, Battle Pass) cover most players' skin acquisition without spending RP at all.

Riot offers three refund tokens per account, applicable to any RP purchase including skins, within 90 days of the purchase. Tokens do not regenerate. Refunds return the original RP amount to your account. Bundles, Mythic Shop purchases, and Sanctum gacha pulls are non-refundable. Hextech Chest contents and event tokens are also non-refundable.

Yes. LoL offers paid region transfers ($24.50 / 2,600 RP), and all skins, champions, and progression carry over to the new region. Skin shards and Mythic Essence transfer normally. Only Riot ID names and ranked progression are subject to additional rules during the transfer process.

Permanently banned accounts retain all skins on the account, but the account itself becomes inaccessible. Riot does not transfer skins or RP to a new account under any circumstance.

No. LoL does not support skin trading between accounts. The only way to transfer skin ownership is through gifting (one-way, requires friendship for 7 days) or by acquiring an account that already owns the skin. Riot's Terms of Service prohibit account sales, though a secondary market exists for unbanned accounts.

Most 'limited' event skins remain in the store for 2–4 weeks during their associated event, then move to Legacy status. Legacy skins are not purchasable normally but return during the annual Legacy Vault sale (typically late November or early December). Truly unobtainable skins like the PAX series and Black Alistar never return.

A skin is a complete cosmetic alternative for a champion, including new model, animations, sound effects, and sometimes voice-over. A chroma is a recolor of an existing skin, sharing the same model and animations but with different color schemes. Chromas cost 290 RP each and require ownership of the base skin to use.

Yes, but with restrictions. The recipient must have been on your friends list for at least 7 days (14 days on Turkey and Brazil servers). The sender must be account level 10 to gift skins or champions, and level 15 to gift RP. You can send up to 10 content gifts and 5 RP gifts per 24 hours. The recipient cannot already own the skin. Several skins are not giftable, including PAX skins, Championship Riven, Rusty Blitzcrank, Riot Squad Singed, Urf the Manatee, Achievement skins, Collector's Edition skins, Victorious skins, Legacy content, and Mythic skins crafted with Gemstones. Brazil has additional gifting restrictions in effect since August 2020.
