Picked up Zombie Ryze from a mystery chest last week and wasn't expecting much from a 975 RP skin, but after 40 games I'm actually impressed with how it changes the champion's feel. The green effects make everything pop compared to base Ryze, especially in messy teamfights where clarity matters.
The Q feels snappier with the zombie theme, and the green projectile stands out way better against river terrain than the standard blue. Your E spread has this sick decay effect that makes it easier to track which minions are marked, something I always struggled with on base skin. But the real difference is the ult animation, which has clearer borders that actually help teammates understand where they're getting teleported. Had a dragon fight yesterday where my jungler said he finally understood my ult range because of the green portal edges, and we managed a clean steal because everyone actually followed through the realm warp.
Compared to other Ryze skins like Whitebeard or even Championship, Zombie feels more responsive overall. The auto attack animation is probably the smoothest I've used, making CS feel less clunky in early lane. And while it's not exactly pay-to-win, the visual clarity on abilities definitely gives you an edge in cluttered fights. My only complaint is the recall animation takes forever, but you're usually backing after a good trade anyway so whatever.
Is Zombie Ryze worth it if you main him? Absolutely. The skin aged surprisingly well for something from 2012, and compared to other Ryze skins at this price point, you're getting solid value. Maybe wait for Your Shop if you're patient, but I'm honestly glad RNG blessed me with this one.
