Got Young Ryze from a chest last week and wasn't expecting much from this 975 RP skin, but after 40 games I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to other Ryze skins. The model looks way younger obviously, but what caught me off guard was how much smoother the animations feel during combos.

His Q feels snappier somehow, like there's less wind-up before the projectile launches. The E spread animation is clearer too, making it easier to track bounces in messy teamfights. And the ult channel just looks cleaner without all the extra particles from his other skins. During a baron fight yesterday, I could actually see where my Q was going through all the chaos, something I struggle with on Zombie Ryze. The W root has this subtle blue effect that's easier to spot than base skin, which helped me confirm catches on their fed Yasuo multiple times.

Compared to other Ryze skins like Tribal or even Championship, Young Ryze keeps things simple but effective. No crazy effects or transformations, just cleaner visuals that don't get in the way. The recall animation where he's reading the scroll is kinda cringe but good for the lore nerds I guess. It's definitely not pay-to-win, but the cleaner animations might help you CS better in lane. My experience with Young Ryze has been surprisingly positive for what I thought would be a throwaway skin.

Is Young Ryze worth it if you main him? Probably not if you already own Championship or Dark Crystal. But if you get it from a chest like I did, it's actually a solid skin that won't tilt you with visual clutter.
