Workshop Nunu & Willump

While the sight of a holiday yeti and his small elf companion may seem frightening, there is no gentler pair than Willump and Nunu. Nunu builds the toys, while Willump accidentally crushes them with his inhuman strength.

Got Workshop Nunu & Willump from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since it's one of the older 520 RP skins. After around 40 games though, this skin grew on me way more than I thought it would, especially compared to other Nunu & Willump skins that feel too flashy.

The Q chomp has this satisfying mechanical crunch that just feels better than base skin, and the snowball rolling animation is cleaner somehow, making it easier to track when you're weaving through jungle camps. What really surprised me is how the ult channel looks less obvious with those toy workshop effects instead of the usual ice storm. Had a dragon fight yesterday where their jungler completely missed my ult charging up behind pit because the workshop particles blend better with river terrain. We secured soul off that play and basically won from there. But the E snowballs feel slightly off, maybe it's the toy aesthetic but I swear they look smaller than they actually are.

Compared to something like Papercraft Nunu, Workshop actually gives you better visibility during teamfights. The model is less cluttered and Willump's hitbox feels more responsive when you're trying to dodge skillshots. Is Workshop Nunu & Willump worth it if you're a Nunu main? Probably not if you already own Space Groove or Bewitching, but for 520 RP it's solid value. The skin aged surprisingly well for something from 2011, and while it's definitely not pay-to-win, that ult visibility thing tilted the enemy team enough times to make me appreciate having it. If you can grab it on sale or get lucky with a chest like I did, it's absolutely worth keeping.
