Winter Wonder Orianna

Got Winter Wonder Orianna from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Dark Star. After about 40 games though, this skin completely changed how I play her in teamfights.

The Q feels way smoother than base Orianna, especially when you're trying to reposition the ball quickly during skirmishes. Where this skin really shines is the ult animation being cleaner than most of her other skins. Last night in a dragon fight, I caught their ADC because the shockwave indicator is actually easier to track in the chaos compared to other Orianna skins. The W also has this satisfying crunch sound that makes CSing feel better, though that's probably just me being weird. What surprised me most is how the E shield looks more distinct from the ball itself, which helps when you're shielding allies in messy fights.

Compared to Dark Star which I mained for two years, Winter Wonder feels less clunky overall. The auto attack animation is tighter, making it easier to weave autos between abilities when you're fed. And the recall is actually insane with the poro interaction, though that's pure cosmetic obviously. Is Winter Wonder Orianna worth it if you're buying? At 975 RP it's not breaking the bank, but it's not essential either.

This isn't pay to win by any means, but the visual clarity is slightly better than skins like Gothic or Sewn Chaos. For Orianna mains who want something festive that doesn't sacrifice gameplay feel, you could do way worse. Maybe wait for Your Shop discount if you're not in a rush though.
