Got Warring Kingdoms Azir from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Gravelord. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would. The jade emperor aesthetic hits different when you're setting up those late game teamfights.

The Q feels noticeably smoother compared to base skin, especially when you're trying to shuffle someone under tower. His soldiers have this green jade glow that makes them easier to track in messy dragon fights, which saved my ass multiple times when the enemy Yasuo tried to int into our backline. And the ult animation is probably the cleanest out of all his skins, with that golden wall appearing faster visually even though the actual cast time is the same. Yesterday I managed to insec their fed ADC because I could actually see where my wall would land in the river bushes, something that's always been wonky with SKT Azir.

Is Warring Kingdoms Azir worth it compared to other Azir skins? For 1350 RP it's definitely not pay to win, but the visual clarity on abilities gives you a slight edge. The recall animation where he sits on his throne is pretty sick too. My experience with Warring Kingdoms Azir has been surprisingly positive, especially coming from someone who didn't even want it initially. If you're an Azir main debating between this and Elderwood, I'd say this one's better for ranked purely because the soldiers are easier to track. But if you already have Gravelord and you're happy with it, you're not missing out on anything game changing. Still a solid pickup if you catch it on sale though.
