SSG Taliyah

Getting SSG Taliyah from a hextech chest last month was probably my luckiest drop all season. After 50 games with it, I'm honestly shocked how much better it feels compared to base Taliyah, especially since I never planned on buying any skins for her.

The Q feels way more responsive than base, and the white particles make it easier to track in teamfights when everything gets chaotic. Her W has this satisfying thump that makes landing combos feel more impactful, though the knockup animation is basically the same. But the real difference is her ult wall. The white and blue effects are so much cleaner that I can actually see through it during fights. Last night we were contesting dragon and I ulted to cut off their jungler, and unlike with base skin where I sometimes lose track of enemies through the wall, I could perfectly time my combo when he tried to flash over. That play alone made me appreciate having this skin.

Compared to other Taliyah skins like Pool Party, SSG feels more competitive. Pool Party's water effects are fun but sometimes blend into river fights, while SSG's crisp white stands out everywhere. The recall animation with the trophy is a nice touch too, though nothing game changing. It's purely cosmetic, no pay to win advantages, but the visual clarity definitely helps.

Is SSG Taliyah worth it if you main her? If you can snag it when the World Champions skins return, absolutely. The exclusive nature makes it feel special, and after my experience with SSG Taliyah, I'd say it's the best skin for climbing. Not gonna lie though, I'm just happy I got it for free because I'd never have bought it myself.
