Special Weapon Zac

Special Weapon Zac surprised me when I pulled it from a hextech chest last month. After 55 games with this purple menace, I'm actually considering making it my main skin over Pool Party, which says something since I never expected to like the military theme on a blob champion.

The Q feels way more responsive than base Zac, with the stretchy arms having this mechanical cable vibe that makes the range clearer. His E is probably the biggest upgrade though, transforming into this purple missile that's easier to track mid-flight for both you and your team. During a baron fight yesterday, I landed a max range E from fog that my ADC said looked "insane" compared to regular Zac's harder to see shadow. The ult keeps the military theme with these containment field effects that actually make it clearer where enemies will land after the bounces. But compared to Pool Party Zac's beach ball ult, Special Weapon's feels more serious and intimidating when you're trying to tilt the enemy team.

Is Special Weapon Zac worth it compared to other Zac skins? For 975 RP it's definitely not pay-to-win, but the cleaner animations on Q and E do feel smoother to execute combos with. I think Pool Party still wins for pure fun factor with the squeaky sounds, but Special Weapon edges it out for ranked games where you want that extra bit of visual clarity. My experience with Special Weapon Zac has been positive enough that I'm keeping it in rotation alongside my other skins. Worth grabbing if you main Zac and want something different from the goofy skins, though maybe wait for a sale if you're not desperate for the military aesthetic.
