Been spamming Sashimi Akali for about 80 games now after grabbing it from a mystery chest, and honestly it's become my go-to skin over K/DA All Out. The whole sushi chef aesthetic seemed cringe at first but the execution is actually insane once you're in game.
The Q feels way more responsive than base skin, probably because the kunai animation is cleaner without all the shadow effects cluttering your screen. Her E shuriken flip has this satisfying sushi roll animation that makes the hitbox clearer than most other skins I've tried. But the real difference is in her shroud, where the smoke effect is less dense so you can actually track enemies better while you're weaving in and out. Had a dragon fight yesterday where I could perfectly time my passive procs because the visual clarity let me see the enemy Jinx positioning through my W, something that gets muddy on skins like True Damage.
Compared to other Akali skins like Infernal or Blood Moon, Sashimi just feels smoother for extended trades. The ult animation doesn't have that slight delay feeling, and when you're trying to execute that perfect R1 into E2 into R2 combo to dive their fed ADC under tower, every frame counts. It's not exactly pay-to-win but the cleaner animations definitely help when you're learning her combos or need that extra visual clarity in teamfights.
Is Sashimi Akali worth it if you main her? Absolutely. The skin grows on you after a few games and the competitive advantages are real. My experience with Sashimi Akali convinced me it's one of her best skins for actually climbing, not just looking cool. Maybe wait for Your Shop if you're patient, but for Akali mains who want every edge, this one's worth full price.
