Red Riding Annie

Over the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house Annie went—not once suspecting that Warwick the Wolf was waiting for her. Of course, Warwick didn't know Annie could shoot balls of magic flame or summon a fiery bear, so really this was a larger issue with communication.

Got Red Riding Annie from a mystery chest last month and wasn't expecting much from this 520 RP skin, but after around 55 games with it, I'm actually impressed. The model itself is simple but the basket replacing Tibbers gives it way more personality than I thought it would. Compared to other Annie skins like Goth or Frostfire, this one feels lighter somehow, especially when you're trying to CS in lane.

The Q feels snappier with cleaner animation cancels, which matters when you're trying to poke without drawing minion aggro. Her W cone is easier to judge thanks to the red particle effects standing out better against most backgrounds. But what really sold me was during a dragon fight where I needed to flash ult their fed ADC. The basket Tibbers is actually smaller visually than regular Tibbers, making it less obvious when you're positioning for that engage. Maybe it's just me, but enemies seem to react slower to the ult drop compared to when I use Super Galaxy Annie where everything screams danger.

Is Red Riding Annie worth it? For the price, absolutely. It's not pay to win or anything, but the smoother feel on abilities makes extended laning phases less tilted. The recall animation where she skips with the basket is probably the cutest thing in her entire skin collection. And unlike some of her flashier skins, this one doesn't get old after spamming it for a month straight. If you're an Annie main looking for something that won't tilt you after 100 games, this beats most of her expensive options. Just don't expect any crazy effects or voice lines.
