Picked up Primordian Briar after seeing it pop off in my ranked games constantly, and after 70 games with it, I'm honestly shocked more people aren't talking about how different this skin feels compared to her base. The whole ancient forest aesthetic completely changes how I perceive her kit, especially when you're trying to track abilities in messy teamfights.
Her Q feels way more responsive than base Briar, with the blood tendrils having this woody texture that makes the range clearer somehow. The W self-damage has better visibility too, with these green particles that actually help me track my health drain better than the standard red effects. But the biggest difference is her ult animation. It's got this primal scream with roots spreading out that makes the hitbox feel cleaner, and I swear I've landed more long-range ults since switching. During a baron fight yesterday, the enemy team literally walked into my ult because the initial cast is less telegraphed than her Streetwear skin's bright effects.
Is Primordian Briar worth it though? At 1350 RP it's not exactly budget friendly, but compared to other Briar skins this one offers the best clarity advantage without being pay-to-win. The recall animation alone with her transforming into this ancient tree creature is probably the best she's got. My experience with Primordian Briar convinced me it's her best skin for ranked, even if Streetwear looks cooler in champion select.
For Briar mains who want every edge in their games, grab this when it goes on sale. Casual players might prefer waiting since it's purely cosmetic advantages, but the smoother animations make those clutch plays feel more consistent.
