Got the Prestige Immortal Journey Sona from a reroll last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I main DJ Sona. After around 50 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what a prestige should be.
The Q feels way more responsive than base Sona and even DJ. There's this golden trail that makes it easier to track who you're hitting in messy teamfights, and the W heal has cleaner animation frames that help you time shields better. But the ult is where this skin really shines. I was defending dragon pit yesterday against a fed Yasuo diving our ADC, and the golden wave is so much clearer than other skins that I could perfectly track the hitbox through all the chaos. Landed it clean through his windwall timing and we turned the whole fight. The recall animation with the floating instruments is probably the best part though, super smooth transition that actually lets you cancel it later than normal.
Compared to other Sona skins like Pentakill or Odyssey, this one's purely cosmetic but feels like it gives you an edge. The abilities just pop off the screen better, especially in river fights where the blue tint usually makes everything blend together. Worth the exclusive price if you can still get it, but I think regular Immortal Journey players might find the effects a bit too bright after extended sessions.
For Sona mains wondering if Prestige Immortal Journey Sona is worth it over DJ, I'd say yes if you want clarity over variety. DJ still has the music evolution thing, but this skin makes you feel more precise in your plays. Maybe not essential, but definitely the best prestige in the game right now.
