Mythmaker Garen absolutely changed how I play this champion after 90 games with it, and I'm someone who owns every single Garen skin except Rugged. The Q animation feels way smoother than base or even God King, letting me cancel it into E faster for those clutch trades when the enemy Darius thinks he's safe. And the ult? That golden execution beam is probably the cleanest visual indicator in his entire skin collection.

What really sets this apart from skins like Warring Kingdoms is how the E spins feel more responsive. I know it sounds crazy but there's something about the particle effects that makes judging the hitbox easier during teamfights. Last night in a dragon fight, I managed to clip their ADC with the very edge of my spin because I could actually see where it ended, something that's way harder with Demacia Vice where the neon effects blur together. The W shield pop is insanely satisfying too, with that golden burst that makes you feel like an actual mythical warrior instead of just another tanky boy running at people.

Is Mythmaker Garen worth it compared to other Garen skins? For 1350 RP, you're getting animations that feel tighter than most of his catalog. It's not pay to win but the visual clarity definitely helps in ranked. My experience with Mythmaker Garen convinced me to refund Steel Legion because this one just plays better. But if you already have God King and you're happy with it, maybe wait for a sale. For everyone else though, this skin will make you actually enjoy playing Garen instead of just picking him when you're tilted and need freelo.
