After spamming around 80 games with Jayce Brighthammer, I gotta say this skin completely changed how I approach teamfights. The hammer form Q feels way smoother than base Jayce, especially when you're trying to combo it with your E knockback. That cleaner animation actually helped me win a crucial baron fight yesterday where I managed to insep their fed Katarina before she could ult. The timing just feels more responsive compared to other Jayce skins.
The cannon form abilities are where this skin really shines though. Your shock blast is probably the most satisfying projectile in the game with Brighthammer. It's got this golden trail that makes it easier to track through messy fights, and I swear the acceleration gate placement feels less clunky. Battle Academia Jayce might have flashier effects, but Brighthammer gives you better visibility when you're trying to snipe someone through fog of war. The transform between forms is insanely smooth too, which matters when you're trying to burst someone down before they flash away.
Is Jayce Brighthammer worth it? For 750 RP it's definitely not cheap, but my experience with Jayce Brighthammer convinced me it's more than just cosmetic. The skin isn't exactly pay to win, but those cleaner animations genuinely help with combos. And the recall where he powers up his hammer is pretty sick. If you're a Jayce main who already owns Forsaken or Debonair, maybe wait for a sale. But if you're looking for your first premium Jayce skin and want something that actually improves your gameplay feel, Brighthammer is the one to get. Just don't blame me when you start landing more shock blasts and your friends call you cringe for tryharding in normals.
