Hextech Nocturne

Not every part of the Hextech renaissance led to bright innovations. A clandestine experiment to fuse Hextech with demonic energies wrought a living nightmare, a predator rumored to stalk the streets and back alleyways of the city. Authorities report that any such creation would have been terminated along with any such project, and that any missing persons reports are, of course, completely unrelated.

Getting Hextech Nocturne from a chest was probably the best RNG I've had all season. After 50+ games with it, I'm genuinely surprised how much cleaner the Q trail feels compared to base skin. The hextech particles make Duskbringer way easier to track in teamfights, and the mechanical arm aesthetic somehow makes last hitting feel more responsive during early clears.

The ult is where this skin really shines though. That blue hextech explosion when you pop Paranoia gives such clear visual feedback that I've actually improved my timing on tower dives. Last week I dove a fed Jinx under tier 2 and the smoother cancel on my fear tether let me secure the kill before her support could react. Compared to Eternum Nocturne which I mained for months, Hextech's W shield looks way less clunky and doesn't blend into river fights like Eternum's does. The fear tether has this satisfying mechanical snap sound that makes it super obvious when it's about to proc.

Is Hextech Nocturne worth it if you're buying? For an exclusive skin, absolutely. The animations aren't just cosmetic either, that clearer hitbox on Q genuinely helps in messy dragon fights where everything overlaps. My experience with Hextech Nocturne convinced two friends to craft it with gemstones. But if you already own Coven or Dark Star, you're not missing anything game changing. This skin won't make you suddenly int less or help you diff enemy junglers, but it definitely makes playing Nocturne feel fresh again. Mains should grab it when possible, casual players can skip unless you love the hextech theme.
