After 80 games with Eternal Sword Yi, I can finally give you guys my experience with this skin that completely changed how I approach teamfights. As someone who owns most Master Yi skins including PROJECT and Cosmic Blade, this one hits different when you're trying to pop off in ranked.
The Q feels incredibly smooth compared to base skin, and the visual clarity when you're bouncing between targets during Alpha Strike actually helps track who you've hit. Your W meditation has this satisfying blue aura that makes timing the damage reduction way easier, especially when you're tanking dragon or trying to bait out that last tower shot. But the real game changer is the ult animation. When you activate Highlander, the sword transformation and that crisp sound cue gives both you and your team perfect clarity on when you're going ham. I remember this one baron fight where I was super fed, ulted from fog of war, and the enemy Jinx literally flashed before I even got close because the visual was that intimidating.
Compared to PROJECT Yi which I mained forever, Eternal Sword Yi feels less clunky during resets. The auto attack animations flow better when you're trying to CS under tower or chasing down that tilted enemy jungler who's spam pinging for help. Is Eternal Sword Yi worth it? For 1350 RP, you're getting probably the cleanest Yi skin for actual gameplay. It's not pay to win, but the smoother animations and clearer visual feedback definitely help in those chaotic 5v5s where every millisecond counts. If you're a Yi main or even just play him occasionally, this skin makes the champion feel more responsive without being too flashy like some of his other options.
