Empyrean Vex

Got Empyrean Vex from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I'm usually running Dawnbringer. After about 35 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what makes a good Vex cosmetic.

The Q feels way more responsive than base skin, especially when you're trying to hit those max range pokes in lane. Where I really notice the difference is during teamfights around dragon pit. Last night we were contesting soul and I managed to land a perfect ult reset chain on their backline. The R projectile is so much clearer with the Empyrean effects that I could actually track who I'd marked through all the chaos. And the passive proc visibility is insane compared to other Vex skins. You know exactly when your fear is ready without squinting at the bar. Even the W feels smoother to drop, though that might just be me getting used to the animations.

Compared to Dawnbringer which I mained for months, Empyrean actually gives you better clarity in messy fights. The golden effects pop more against river terrain and the E projectile doesn't blend into minion waves like Space Groove does. Is Empyrean Vex worth it though? For 1350 RP it's probably the best competitive option she has. Not quite pay to win but the cleaner animations definitely help with combos. My experience with Empyrean Vex convinced me to refund Battle Academia Caitlyn just to keep this one.
