After 55 games with Dino Gnar, I can honestly say this skin completely changes how the champion feels to play. As someone who owns most Gnar skins, I wasn't expecting much from what looked like a simple cute dinosaur theme, but the execution is way better than Super Galaxy or even Gentleman Gnar in terms of gameplay clarity.
The Q boomerang has this satisfying bone throw that's easier to track in teamfights compared to other skins. Your W proc shows these little bite marks that make counting stacks actually intuitive, and when you're about to transform, the rage bar fills with this primal roar effect that gives you maybe half a second more awareness than base skin. But what really sold me was during a baron fight last night where I could perfectly time my ult because Mega Gnar's animations are so clean. The boulder toss feels more responsive too, like there's less windup lag when you need to peel for your ADC.
Is Dino Gnar worth it? At 975 RP it's not exactly budget friendly, but compared to other Gnar skins this one offers genuine gameplay improvements. The transformation is probably the smoothest I've experienced, and unlike Snow Day Gnar where the particles blend into Howling Abyss, Dino works perfectly on every map. My experience with Dino Gnar has been overwhelmingly positive, especially in ranked where those clearer animations can be the diff between landing a three man ult or completely inting your engage.
For Gnar mains looking to climb, this skin is basically pay to win in the best way possible. And if you're just starting to learn him, the visual clarity makes understanding his kit so much easier than fumbling around with base animations.
