Crystal Rose Akshan

After maining Akshan since release and hitting 500k mastery last month, I finally grabbed Crystal Rose during the recent sale. My friends kept asking if Crystal Rose Akshan is worth it since they know I usually stick to Cyber Pop, and honestly this skin hits different than I expected.

The Q feels way smoother to throw out compared to base skin, and the boomerang return animation is cleaner which actually helps me track it better in teamfights. His E swing has this satisfying rose petal effect that doesn't clutter the screen like Cyber Pop's neon trails do. But the real game changer is his ult channel where the roses bloom around him making it super obvious when you're locked on versus when someone breaks vision. Last night I was defending dragon and managed to snipe their ADC through fog because the targeting indicator was so clear I knew exactly when they walked back into range. With base skin I probably would've cancelled thinking I lost them.

Running both skins back to back for around 80 games now, Crystal Rose definitely feels more responsive on ability cancels. The auto attack animation is tighter too which helps with CS timing early game. It's not pay to win exactly but the visual clarity is insane compared to other Akshan skins. And the recall where he's arranging roses while his gun floats is actually cringe but good somehow.

For anyone who plays Akshan regularly, this is worth the 1350 RP especially if you're tired of Cyber Pop's flashy effects tilting you in close fights. The Crystal Rose theme might seem weird on him at first but the competitive advantages make it my new go to skin for ranked.
