Commando Xin Zhao

Been playing with Commando Xin Zhao for around 120 games now and I'm honestly surprised how clean this skin feels compared to other Xin Zhao skins. The spear animations feel way more responsive than base, especially when you're trying to weave autos between your Q strikes. Something about the military aesthetic just makes everything read better in teamfights.

The W sweep feels noticeably smoother to cancel into your E dash, which matters when you're trying to engage on their fed ADC. I tested this against Warring Kingdoms in practice tool and Commando consistently lets me combo faster. Your ult animation is probably the biggest difference though. That green explosion effect is way easier to track in messy dragon fights. Last week I managed to perfectly ult three people out of pit because I could actually see where my circle ended, something that gets lost with base skin's golden effects.

But the real test came during a tower dive yesterday where I needed to E flash onto their mid. The dash particle on Commando is super clear, no fancy trails or extra effects, just pure clarity. You know exactly when you can flash mid-dash. Warring Kingdoms has all these flame particles that make it harder to time. And the sound effects are crisp without being obnoxious, which helps when you're trying to focus.

Is Commando Xin Zhao worth it? For 520 RP, absolutely. It's not flashy but that's the point. This skin is purely cosmetic advantage wise, but the cleaner animations make it my go-to for ranked. If you're a Xin main who wants consistency over style, this beats most of his expensive skins. The simplicity is what makes it good.
