Captain Fortune

Captain Fortune completely changed how I approach teamfights on MF after grabbing it from a chest last month. The skin just feels cleaner than base, and I've been spamming around 40 games with it since then.

The Q bounces feel more responsive compared to base MF, probably because the projectile is easier to track with that bright orange glow. Her ult channels smoother too, and I swear the animation cancel on W feels faster when kiting backwards. But the biggest diff is her E visibility. That burning circle is way clearer than the base rain effect, especially in river fights where everything gets messy. Last night we were contesting dragon and I dropped E right behind their Jinx. She actually walked backwards into it trying to dodge my support's hook because the initial cast is subtle enough that she didn't notice until the burn started ticking. Got the kill and secured soul off that one play.

Compared to other Miss Fortune skins like Gun Goddess, Captain Fortune is purely cosmetic but worth it for the clarity alone. Gun Goddess has those form swaps that actually change particles, while Captain keeps everything simple and readable. The hat stays on during ult which blocks some vision upward, but honestly it's never been an issue in lane. And that recall where she shoots the cannon is just insane compared to her boring base one.

Is Captain Fortune worth it? For MF mains who want something that feels smooth without being distracting, absolutely. It's not pay to win or anything, but the cleaner animations make CSing feel better and that E clarity helps in chaotic fights. I'd recommend waiting for Your Shop if you're not in a rush though.
