Broken Covenant Cho’Gath

A living weapon of Nocturne's design, Cho'Gath is meant to cleanse the world of the Neverghaast. Empowered by sacred artifacts from the congregation's crypts, it has remained dormant while Nocturne feeds it prisoners to build its power. Despite its maker's intentions, nothing will be able to sate the monster's hunger once it fully awakens.

After 70 games with Broken Covenant Cho'Gath, I can confidently say this skin completely changes how the champion feels to play. Most people focus on the visual overhaul but what really sells it is how much smoother the Q animation feels compared to base or even Dark Star. The windup is noticeably cleaner, making it way easier to land those crucial knockups in teamfights.

The W silence has this purple corruption effect that's actually easier to track than other skins, and I've found myself hitting more max range silences because of it. But the real game changer is the ult animation. Where Gentleman Cho'Gath has that awkward pause before the chomp, Broken Covenant flows seamlessly from movement into feast. Just yesterday I managed to flash feast their fed ADC at dragon because the animation was responsive enough to execute before they could react. The visual clarity on E spikes is insane too, making CS'ing feel buttery smooth even at 0 stacks.

Compared to other Cho'Gath skins like Prehistoric or Battlecast, this one sits at the top for competitive play. It's probably the closest thing to pay-to-win Cho has, purely because of animation smoothness rather than any actual advantage. The Broken Covenant theme ties everything together with those void corruption particles that make you feel like an actual raid boss when you hit 10+ stacks. Worth the 1350 RP? Absolutely, especially if you're planning to main the void daddy. And before anyone asks about my experience with Broken Covenant Cho'Gath versus Dark Star, this one wins for ranked clarity every time.
