Been spamming Battlecast Kog'Maw for about 100 games now after owning most Kog'Maw skins, and this one completely changed how I approach teamfights. The mechanical feel compared to other Kog'Maw skins is night and day, especially when you're trying to kite at max attack speed with W active.
The W activation feels so much more responsive than base skin or even Monarch. When you're orb walking at 2.5 attack speed, every animation frame matters, and Battlecast has this smoother cancel that lets you reposition between autos without losing DPS. His ult probably has the clearest hitbox indicator I've seen on any Kog skin, which actually matters when you're trying to snipe that low health ADC through minion waves. During a baron fight yesterday, I was able to perfectly track my R stacks because the visual feedback is so clean, whereas on Pug'Maw I sometimes lose count and accidentally int by hitting the mana cap. The Q projectile travels with this mechanical whir that makes it easier to track in chaotic fights too.
Comparing this to my previous favorite Hextech Kog'Maw, Battlecast wins purely on clarity. The auto attack projectiles are distinct enough that even when I'm fed and melting their frontline, I can tell exactly where my damage is going. It's not pay-to-win but it's close, the visual clarity genuinely helps you play better. Worth the 1350 RP if you're serious about playing Kog.
My experience with Battlecast Kog'Maw convinced me it's the best skin for climbing. If you main him or even play him occasionally in your ADC pool, this skin will make those late game hypercarry moments feel even more insane.
