Got Battle Principal Yuumi from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Heartseeker. After about 35 games though, this skin completely changed how I feel playing the magical cat. The Q projectiles feel way smoother to land compared to base skin, and there's something about the academic theme that just makes the whole kit feel more responsive.
The biggest difference is during those intense dragon fights when you're hopping between teammates. Battle Principal's W animation is noticeably cleaner than other Yuumi skins, making it easier to track who you're attached to in chaotic teamfights. I remember this one game where we were getting dove under tower and I managed to perfectly time my ult between three different allies because the visual clarity is just that good. The R waves have this distinct purple effect that makes it super obvious where the root zones are, which probably helped my ADC position better too. Even the passive shield looks more distinct, so I actually notice when it's up more often.
Compared to other Yuumi skins like Bewitching or Yuuko, Battle Principal feels less cluttered visually. The book animations don't obscure as much of the screen, and the E heal has this satisfying pop that makes you feel the impact more. Is Battle Principal Yuumi worth it at 1350 RP? If you're a support main who plays her regularly, absolutely. It's not pay to win but the cleaner animations definitely help with timing your abilities better.
My experience with Battle Principal Yuumi convinced me to make it my main skin. The improved clarity alone makes those clutch saves feel more consistent, and that's worth way more than just looking cute while you int your ADC's lane.
