Worldbreaker Malzahar completely changed my perspective on what a Malzahar skin should be after 80 games of testing. The apocalyptic theme transforms him from a void prophet into something more primal and terrifying, making every ability feel weightier than his other skins.
The Q feels absolutely insane with those earthen spikes erupting from the ground instead of the usual void portals. When you're trying to CS under tower, the clearer animation actually helps time those last hits better than base skin. But it's the E that really sells this skin for me. The spreading corruption looks like actual decay creeping across minions, and I swear it's easier to track the bounce timing compared to Snow Day or Battle Boss. During a baron fight last night, I managed to spread my E through their entire backline because the visual was so distinct against the river terrain. The ult locks people in those stone pillars that just feel more satisfying than the void zone, though mechanically it's purely cosmetic.
My experience with Worldbreaker Malzahar compared to other Malzahar skins puts it right below Hextech for me. Yeah, the 1350 RP price point is worth it if you're a regular Malzahar player, but it's not gonna make you pop off harder or anything. The voidlings look like little earth elementals which is probably the best part, especially when you're fed and have five of them chasing down the enemy ADC. And the recall where he summons that massive portal is chef's kiss, way better than Shadow Prince's generic one.
Should you buy Worldbreaker Malzahar? If you main him, absolutely grab it during a sale. The visual clarity alone makes laning phase smoother, even if it won't diff your games mechanically.
