Winterblessed Zilean

Picked up Winterblessed Zilean from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Blood Moon. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would.

The Q bombs feel so much cleaner animation wise compared to base Zilean. They're these crystalline ice orbs that actually make it easier to track in teamfights, especially when you're trying to land that double bomb stun combo. His E speed boost has this frosty trail that's subtle but satisfying, and the ult is probably the best part with its snowflake revival animation that feels more responsive than Sugar Rush's candy explosion. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to clutch ult our fed ADC purely because the animation was clear enough that I could time it perfectly through all the chaos.

Blood Moon still has that intimidating presence in lane, but Winterblessed Zilean offers something different. The whole winter theme works surprisingly well with his kit, and at 1350 RP it's actually worth considering if you play him regularly. My experience with Winterblessed Zilean has been mostly positive, though I'll admit the recall animation is a bit long if you're trying to get back to lane quick.

Is Winterblessed Zilean worth it? For Zilean mains, absolutely. It's purely cosmetic, no pay to win advantages, but the visual clarity alone makes it one of his better skins. Compared to other Zilean skins like Groovy or Time Machine, this one feels modern and polished. If you're on the fence, maybe wait for a sale, but if you spam Zilean like I've been doing lately, you won't regret grabbing it.
