Winter Wonder Neeko

An ancient and mysterious winter sprite, Neeko regards the world around her with an almost childlike curiosity. Having recently returned from beyond the Poro King's vast domain, she has become enamored with the civilization that has risen in her absence.

Winter Wonder Neeko

After maining Neeko for three seasons and hitting 500k mastery last month, I finally caved and grabbed Winter Wonder during the holiday sale. My friends kept asking if Winter Wonder Neeko was worth it since they know I've been running base skin forever, and honestly, this skin completely changed how I play her.

The Q feels way smoother to land compared to base, with the snowflake explosion giving better visual feedback on where it'll bloom. But the real game changer is her passive clone, which looks cleaner when you're trying to bait out abilities. I remember this one dragon fight where I sent my clone in from river while I flanked through tri-bush, and the enemy Caitlyn completely wasted her ult on it because the winter particles made it look more convincing somehow. Her E root has this satisfying freeze effect that makes it easier to track in teamfights too. The ult is probably the biggest improvement though, with that snowglobe effect making it clearer where the actual stun radius ends, which helped me land way more multi-man ults.

Compared to Star Guardian Neeko which I tried on my friend's account, Winter Wonder just feels more responsive overall. Star Guardian is cute but the animations feel a bit clunky, especially when you're trying to weave autos between abilities for CS. Winter Wonder at 1350 RP might seem steep, but after around 80 games with it, I'd say it's actually slightly pay-to-win just because of how much cleaner the hitboxes appear. For any Neeko mains sitting on the fence, grab it next time it's available. The clarity improvements alone will probably net you a few more wins, and you'll actually enjoy playing her more.
