Winged Hussar Xin Zhao

A member of the vaunted winged hussars, Xin Zhao is one of the last standard bearers of a military order tracing its roots back to the late 17th century. Of course, his progenitors didn't ride an army of armored black pegasi into battle, but you know how it is.

Picked up Winged Hussar Xin Zhao from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I mainly run Warring Kingdoms. After about 55 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming.

The Q animation feels way cleaner than base skin, especially when you're weaving autos between abilities. Your W sweep has this satisfying metallic scrape that makes timing easier, and the ult impact just hits different with those wing effects spreading out. I remember this one dragon fight where our team was getting collapsed on, and I managed to ult three people off our ADC. The visual clarity on that knockback circle is probably the best compared to other Xin Zhao skins, making those clutch saves more consistent. Even small things like the E dash feel more responsive, though that might just be the smoother animation making it seem faster.

Warring Kingdoms still has the better recall and overall theme in my opinion, but Winged Hussar beats it for gameplay clarity. The spear glow during passive stacks is super obvious, so you always know when your heal's ready without checking buffs. It's definitely not pay to win or anything, but those little visual improvements add up when you're trying to pop off in teamfights.

Is Winged Hussar Xin Zhao worth it if you're buying with RP? At 975 RP it's a bit steep for what you get, but if you main him and want something that feels crisp without being too flashy, this one's solid. Not his best skin aesthetically, but mechanically it's top tier for sure.
