Warmonger Sion

No memory of the man that Sion was remains. His life is spite, a curse on those who would dare to strike him down. But through it all—each ill-fated century—he remains, his decaying form bound together by his armor's dark magic.

Been running Warmonger Sion for about 55 games now after grabbing it from a mystery chest, and honestly wasn't expecting much from this 975 RP skin. The armor redesign actually makes a bigger difference than you'd think when you're trying to land those clutch plays in teamfights.

The Q charge feels way smoother with the axe animation compared to base skin, making it easier to time those max charge knockups when you're getting ganked. His W shield has this subtle glow that's actually helped me track when it's about to pop in messy fights. But the real game changer is the ult indicator being slightly clearer with the war horn sound and dust effects. Last night during a dragon fight, I managed to perfectly ult through the pit wall because the turning radius just feels more responsive than on Mecha Zero. That skin might have cooler effects but Warmonger's animations are probably the cleanest for actual gameplay.

Compared to other Sion skins like Lumberjack or even Worldbreaker, Warmonger sits in this weird spot where it's not flashy enough to tilt enemies but refined enough to feel good every game. The recall animation is basic, sure, and you won't be winning any style points. Is Warmonger Sion worth it though? For 975 RP it's definitely not pay to win, but the cleaner hitbox visuals on Q and ult have saved me from inting more times than I can count.

My experience with Warmonger Sion has been surprisingly positive for what looks like a simple reskin. If you're a Sion main who wants functionality over flash, this one's actually worth considering when it shows up in your shop.
