Void Bringer Illaoi

Got this from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Resistance Illaoi, but after about 55 games with Void Bringer, I'm actually converted. The purple tentacles hit different when you're trying to intimidate the enemy laner, and there's something satisfying about the void aesthetic that makes landing those E pulls feel extra nasty.

The E animation feels cleaner compared to other Illaoi skins, especially when you're trying to chain it after a W dash. Your Q slam has this purple corruption effect that spreads out, making it easier to see the actual hitbox in messy teamfights. But what really sold me was during a baron fight last week where I landed a five man ult and the void tentacles were so visually distinct from the purple pit that I could actually track which slams were connecting. With base skin or even Cosmic, everything blends together in those chaotic moments and you're just hoping your damage is going through.

Compared to Resistance Illaoi which I mained forever, Void Bringer's tentacle spawns are way more visible in river fights. The darker purple stands out against the terrain better, and when you're fed and have tentacles everywhere, your team can actually see your zone of control. It's probably not pay to win, but the visual clarity definitely helps both you and your teammates understand your threat range better.

Is Void Bringer Illaoi worth it if you're an Illaoi main? Absolutely. The skin aged really well since release and at 1350 RP it's one of the better value picks compared to other Illaoi skins that feel clunkier. My experience with Void Bringer Illaoi convinced me to make it my tryhard skin whenever I need to pop off in ranked.
