Victorious Master Yi

Collecting every Victorious skin has been my thing since season 3, and when I finally got my hands on Victorious Master Yi, I wasn't expecting much from what's essentially a free ranked reward. After around 50 games though, this skin grew on me way more than I thought it would, especially compared to other Master Yi skins in my collection.

The Q animation feels noticeably smoother than base skin, almost like there's less startup frames before you disappear. His E true damage stance has this golden glow that's actually easier to track in teamfights than PROJECT or even Cosmic Blade. But the real difference is his ult activation. The visual clarity when you pop off with Highlander is insane compared to something like Headhunter where the speed boost particles blend into everything. I was tower diving their fed ADC yesterday and could perfectly time my Q reset because the ability animations are so clean. The W channel is probably the only ability that feels identical to base, but at least the golden meditation circle looks premium.

Is Victorious Master Yi worth it compared to paid skins? Well, you can't buy it anyway since it was exclusive to Gold+ players that season, but if you have it sitting in your collection, definitely use it over base skin. The smoother animation cancels alone make it feel less clunky than half his purchasable skins. And unlike PROJECT which everyone runs, you'll rarely see another Victorious Yi in your games. It's purely cosmetic advantage but the cleaner visuals help me CS better and track my cooldowns in messy fights. Not quite Cosmic Blade tier, but way better than most people realize.
