Vandal Jax

Picked up Vandal Jax from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much from this 520 RP skin. After around 55 games though, I'm actually pretty impressed with how clean it feels compared to base Jax. The whole graffiti street fighter vibe hits different when you're splitpushing at 2am.

The Q leap feels snappier somehow, like the animation frames line up better when you're trying to ward hop for those clutch escapes. His E counter strike has this sick spin that makes it easier to judge the stun radius, which saved my ass during a dragon fight yesterday when their fed Yasuo tried to dive me. Was able to perfectly time the stun and turn the whole fight around. But what really sells it is the W reset animation being less clunky than default. You know that feeling when you're CSing under tower and need those smooth autos? This skin actually helps with that timing. Compared to other Jax skins like God Staff, Vandal doesn't have the same intimidation factor, but the cleaner animations make up for it.

Is Vandal Jax worth it if you're a Jax main? Probably yeah, especially at this price point. It's not gonna make you suddenly pop off if you're inting every game, but the smoother cancel windows on abilities do give a tiny edge in those close 1v1s. My experience with Vandal Jax has been way better than expected for what I thought would be just another basic skin.

Not pay to win by any means, but if you play enough Jax, you'll appreciate the small quality of life improvements. Maybe wait for Your Shop if you're not in a rush though.
