After 55 games with Vandal Brand, I've gotta say this skin completely changed how I approach teamfights. Got it from a mystery chest last month and wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Zombie Brand, but this one's actually insane for clarity.
The Q feels way more responsive than base Brand, especially when you're trying to combo fast. That graffiti effect makes it super obvious when you land the stun, which sounds minor but makes a huge difference when you're tracking cooldowns in messy fights. His ult though? The spray paint bounces are probably the clearest of any Brand skin. Last night we were contesting dragon and I could actually track all my ult bounces through the chaos, ended up getting a triple because I knew exactly who still had my passive stacked. The E animation is a bit underwhelming compared to other Brand skins, but at least the hitbox feels cleaner than Zombie where sometimes I swear it doesn't connect properly.
Compared to other Brand skins, Vandal sits somewhere between pay to win and pure cosmetic. It's not as flashy as Arclight or Battle Boss, but the visual clarity is better than both. The recall animation where he tags his name is pretty cringe but good, fits the theme perfectly. And those sound effects when you're fed and deleting people just hit different.
Is Vandal Brand worth it? For Brand mains who want competitive advantage over style points, absolutely. My experience with Vandal Brand convinced me to refund Spirit Fire just to keep this one. If you're looking for pure aesthetics maybe check out Eternal Dragon, but for climbing and clarity this skin's actually worth considering.
