Unchained Alistar

Getting Unchained Alistar from a Hextech chest was probably the best surprise I've had in months, especially since I'd been eyeing Moo Cow for ages. After 55 games with this skin, I'm honestly shocked how much cleaner it feels compared to base Alistar.

The Q animation feels way more responsive than default, making those flash combos actually land when you need them. His W headbutt connects with this satisfying thud that just makes tower dives feel more impactful. But what really sold me was during a baron fight last week where I managed to chain three perfect combos because the animations were so clear I could actually time my cooldowns properly. The chains swinging during his dance are kinda cringe but good, and that ult pop makes you feel genuinely tanky when you're soaking damage for your fed ADC. Compared to other Alistar skins like Infernal, this one's way less flashy but the visibility is insane for both you and your team.

Is Unchained Alistar worth it? For an exclusive skin you can't even buy anymore, it's become my go to over skins I actually paid for. The cleaner animations give you maybe a 5% edge in those clutch moments where every frame counts. It's not pay to win exactly, but when you're trying to hit that perfect WQ combo to save your tilting jungler from inting, those smoother cancels make a real diff.

My experience with Unchained Alistar convinced me that sometimes the older, simpler skins are where it's at. If you can somehow get your hands on this through a chest or mystery gift, it's absolutely worth using over most of his other options.
