After 80 games with True Damage Yasuo, I can confidently say this skin changes how the champion feels mechanically. As someone who owns most Yasuo skins, this one stands out for reasons beyond just the sick hip-hop aesthetic.
The Q animation feels noticeably smoother compared to High Noon or Spirit Blossom. There's something about the golden slash effect that makes last-hitting easier, and the third Q tornado has better visibility in teamfights. Your E dash has this crisp sound effect that helps you track your flow better, especially when you're dashing through a minion wave to escape a gank. But what really sold me was using it in a baron fight last week. Enemy team started it, I ulted their ADC off our Malphite knockup, and the R animation was so clean I could perfectly time my EQ combo right as I landed. The visual clarity on that ult is probably the best across all his skins, making those split-second decisions feel more responsive.
Comparing it to Nightbringer, which used to be my go-to, True Damage just feels less clunky overall. The auto attack animation cancels are cleaner, and when you're trying to CS under tower while poking with Q, everything flows better. Is True Damage Yasuo worth it though? For 1350 RP, you're getting what feels like a slight mechanical advantage wrapped in amazing visuals and sound design.
My experience with True Damage Yasuo convinced me it's more than just cosmetic. If you're a Yasuo main looking to pop off, this skin won't make you better, but it'll make playing him feel better. Worth grabbing next time it's in your shop.
