Three Honors Shen

Shen is the last surviving founder of the Order of Solace. He shuttered every temple when the world fell into apathy and carelessness, disappearing into obscurity until Malzahar revived the Order. Now returned from the shadows, Shen serves as its most senior teacher, a stoic leader of integrity and grace that all can rely on.

Been playing Shen since season 4 and after 80 games with Three Honors, I'm convinced this is the sleeper pick compared to other Shen skins. The golden aesthetic hits different when you're already ahead, making enemies think twice before engaging when they see that intimidating glow during your ult channel.

The Q empowered autos feel way smoother than base skin, almost like there's less delay between the enhanced strikes landing. Your taunt animation has this cleaner trajectory that makes it easier to judge the hitbox, especially when you're threading it through minions for those clutch saves. And the ult shield visual is probably the best part, giving your teammates this golden aura that's super clear in messy teamfights. Last week during a dragon fight, my ADC said they could actually tell when my ult shield was about to expire because the golden effect fades gradually, letting them time their flash perfectly to survive the enemy Zed.

Compared to Pulsefire which feels clunky to me, Three Honors has more responsive animations that don't mess with your muscle memory. The recall animation where you meditate with those honor orbs is pretty sick too. But honestly, it's purely cosmetic advantage wise, no pay-to-win elements here. The skin's exclusive nature makes it feel special when you load in, though I've noticed more people running it lately in my Diamond games.

Is Three Honors Shen worth it if you main him? Absolutely. The visual clarity alone during teamfights makes tracking your abilities easier, and you'll never tilt from misreading your own animations. My experience with Three Honors Shen convinced me to refund Warlord just to keep this one permanently.
