Subterranean Nautilus

Subterranean Nautilus might be the most underrated skin in his entire collection, and I'm saying this as someone who owns Astronautilus and Worldbreaker. After spamming around 100 games with it this season, I can honestly say the visual clarity on this skin is insane compared to base Nautilus.

The Q hook feels way smoother to land, probably because the anchor animation is less clunky than default. Your W shield has this sick crystal effect that makes it super obvious when it's about to expire, which saved me countless times during tower dives. And the E slow field? The underground crystals popping up are actually easier to track in teamfights than most of his other skins. I remember this one dragon fight where the enemy Ezreal literally walked into three waves of my E because he couldn't see them properly in the river bushes with all the chaos going on. That's when I knew this skin was actually worth keeping.

Compared to other Nautilus skins like Warden or even the popular Astronautilus, Subterranean just feels more responsive. The auto attack animation cancels are cleaner, especially when you're trying to proc your passive root on multiple targets. It's purely cosmetic advantage but the visual feedback makes everything flow better. My experience with Subterranean Nautilus convinced me it's actually one of his best skins for ranked play.

Is Subterranean Nautilus worth it? If you're a support main who plays Naut regularly, absolutely grab it when it shows up in Your Shop or rotates back. The improved visual clarity alone makes it better than skins that cost twice as much. Just don't expect any actual pay to win advantages, but the cleaner animations will definitely help you pop off more consistently.
