Star Guardian Rakan

Star Guardian Rakan completely changes how his abilities feel compared to other Rakan skins, and after 50 games with it, I'm convinced it's actually worth the 1820 RP price. The W feels insanely smooth with the sparkly trail making it easier to judge the exact landing spot, while the Q has this satisfying magical pop that makes healing feel more impactful. But what really sold me was how the ult looks with all those cosmic wings spreading out, giving you better visual clarity on the charm radius than base skin ever could.

Playing this in a dragon fight yesterday showed me why some people think Star Guardian Rakan is borderline pay-to-win. My ADC was getting focused hard and I managed to land a perfect W into R combo that probably wouldn't have connected with base skin. The smoother animation on Grand Entrance lets you buffer your ult faster, and the glowing pink charm effect is way easier for your team to follow up on. Even the E dash to allies feels more responsive with the starlight trail, making those clutch saves feel better timed.

Comparing this to my previous favorite IG Rakan, Star Guardian wins on every technical aspect. IG has that sick recall and the feathers look cool, but Star Guardian's animations are just cleaner for actual gameplay. The skin makes Rakan feel less clunky overall, especially when you're trying to pop off in teamfights. Is Star Guardian Rakan worth it for support mains who want both style and subtle gameplay advantages? Absolutely. Just maybe wait for Your Shop if you're not desperate, but if you're a Rakan main this is the one skin you need.
