Snow Man Yi

Got Snow Man Yi from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much from this Winter Wonder skin. After around 35 games though, I'm actually surprised how clean it feels compared to base Yi. The Q animation feels way smoother when you're trying to dodge skillshots, and the snowflake particles make it easier to track your resets in teamfights. Plus that icy blue trail on your ult is probably the cleanest visual effect Yi has.

The E true damage proc has this satisfying crunch sound that makes last hitting feel better, though the auto attacks themselves are a bit quieter than PROJECT Yi which I usually run. What really sold me was during a baron fight yesterday where I could actually see my Q bounces clearly through all the spell effects. That visibility difference let me dodge a crucial Morgana binding that would've gotten me killed. And the W meditation has this subtle snow effect that doesn't give away your position as much as the glowing circles on other skins.

Is Snow Man Yi worth it if you're thinking about buying? For 1350 RP it's definitely good value compared to other Master Yi skins. It's not pay to win or anything but the cleaner animations do help in cluttered fights. The recall animation where he builds a snowman is kinda cringe but good for BM after you pop off. My only complaint is the model looks a bit dated next to newer releases like Inkshadow Yi, but the particles still hold up well. If you're a Yi main who wants something festive without spending 1350 on PROJECT, this skin's worth grabbing when it comes back to the shop.
