Snow Day Malzahar

Bought Snow Day Malzahar after getting absolutely destroyed by one in my promos last month. After 55 games with it, I can honestly say this skin hits different compared to other Malzahar skins, especially Battle Boss which I mained for two seasons.

The Q feels way smoother to cast with those poro projectiles, and I swear the animation cancel into E is cleaner than base skin. Your voidlings become these adorable poros that somehow feel less threatening but maybe that's the psychological edge you need when enemies underestimate your damage. The ult is where this skin really shines though. That giant snowglobe effect is crystal clear for both you and your team, making it easier to coordinate ganks. I remember this one dragon fight where my jungler instantly knew who I was ulting because the snowglobe stood out so much against the river terrain, something that never happened with my other skins where the purple void energy just blends into everything.

Is Snow Day Malzahar worth it? For 975 RP, you're getting solid visual clarity that's actually helpful in teamfights. It's not pay-to-win by any means, but the clearer hitbox indicators on your silence zones have probably saved me from inting at least three times when I thought I'd miss my Q-E combo. The recall animation with the snowman is just icing on the cake.

My experience with Snow Day Malzahar convinced me to refund Hextech just to keep this one permanently. If you're a Malz main who plays him regularly, this skin offers the best mix of clarity and style. And those poro voidlings will never not be satisfying when you're fed and watching them chase down a tilted ADC.
