Snow Day Gnar

Snow Day Gnar feels like playing a completely different champion compared to base skin, and after 120 games with it, I can't go back. The snowball Q is probably the cleanest animation in his entire skin lineup, making it way easier to land those crucial boomerang catches that separate good Gnars from great ones. His W proc shows these icy particles that are insanely clear compared to Dino Gnar's muddy effects, letting you track your stacks even in messy teamfights.

The mega form transformation is where this skin really shines. During a baron fight yesterday, I could actually see my ult windup through all the spell effects because of the bright blue ice wall animation. That visibility difference let me catch three enemies who thought they were safe behind their Braum. And the boulder toss just feels more responsive, like there's less delay between pressing Q and the animation starting. Maybe it's psychological but I swear my combo success rate went up after switching from Super Galaxy.

Is Snow Day Gnar worth it compared to other Gnar skins? For 975 RP it's honestly the best value in his collection. The recall where he builds a snowman is whatever, but the in game clarity makes this borderline pay to win in my opinion. Super Galaxy has cooler sound effects and Gentleman has that top hat swag, but neither helps you land more ults or track your rage bar as effectively. If you're serious about climbing with Gnar or just want to tilt enemy top laners with perfect boomerang catches, this skin will make a noticeable diff in your gameplay.
