Got Snow Day Bard from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I'm usually running Astronaut. After about 40 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would.
The Q feels insanely smooth compared to base Bard. Something about the penguin animation makes it easier to track where your stun's gonna land, especially when you're trying to thread it through minions for that clutch tower dive. His W shrines look like hot cocoa cups which sounds dumb but they're actually more visible in river fights. Lost count of how many times my ADC finally noticed them during dragon contests because they pop against the terrain better. And the ult is where this skin really shines. That snowglobe effect is cleaner than Astronaut's space freeze, making it way easier to judge the hitbox when you're trying to catch that fed Katarina before she can reset.
Compared to other Bard skins, Snow Day sits somewhere between Astronaut and Elderwood for me. It's not pay to win or anything, but the clearer hitbox on abilities definitely helps in ranked. The penguins following you around are probably the best meep replacement across all his skins, and the recall animation with the sled is top tier. My only gripe is the E portal looks a bit plain compared to Cafe Cuties, but you can't have everything.
Is Snow Day Bard worth it if you main him? Absolutely. The 1350 RP feels justified when you compare it to his other epic skins. If you're just picking him up occasionally, maybe wait for a sale. But for anyone who plays Bard regularly, this skin makes those roams feel way smoother.
