Sherwood Forest Ashe

Condemned as a rogue and a thief, Ashe is nonetheless a leader of the free peoples of Albion, protecting the weak and the powerless from oppression in any form. Hundreds of bounty hunters have scoured the woods to find her, but they always come back with empty hands… and emptier pockets.

Been maining Ashe for three seasons now with around 500k mastery points, and I finally caved and bought Sherwood Forest after watching my duo partner use it for months. This 520 RP skin might look basic compared to newer releases, but there's something weirdly satisfying about the simplicity that keeps me coming back to it.

The auto attacks feel incredibly smooth with the green arrow trails, and I swear the animation canceling between autos and W feels cleaner than base skin. Her W volley has this subtle woosh sound that's less jarring than PROJECT or High Noon, which helps when you're spamming it in lane. The ult arrow is where opinions get divided though. Some players hate the brown wooden look, but the projectile actually feels easier to track in teamfights, especially during those messy dragon fights where everything's going off at once. Just last game I landed a cross-map arrow on their fed Katarina because I could actually see where it was traveling through all the spell effects.

Compared to other Ashe skins like Fae Dragon or Cosmic Queen, Sherwood Forest definitely shows its age visually. But mechanically it's probably one of the best for clarity. The recall animation is nothing special, just her doing a little bow flourish, and there's no fancy particles or voice filter. Is Sherwood Forest Ashe worth it? For tryhard ranked games where you need every advantage, absolutely. The cleaner animations and better visibility make it borderline pay-to-win in my book. If you want flashy effects and modern visuals, skip it. But if you're serious about climbing and want something that won't tilt you with distracting particles, this old reliable skin still holds up surprisingly well.
