Sheriff Caitlyn

The Old West lies far outside the government's jurisdiction, leaving local peacekeepers to enforce whatever passes for justice on the high frontier. As lone sheriff of the town of Progress, Caitlyn has found that the arm of the law is roughly as long as the range of her rifle.

Sheriff Caitlyn completely changed my mind about budget skins after I got it from a hextech chest last month. Been playing around 55 games with it now and honestly it's become my go-to over Pulsefire which I actually paid for.

The auto attacks feel way smoother than base Caitlyn, especially when you're trying to CS under tower. Her Q animation has this satisfying dust cloud effect that makes it easier to track in teamfights, and the net feels less clunky when you're doing those quick E-Q combos. But what really sells it is the ult. The targeting reticle is cleaner and I swear the channel feels more responsive when someone tries to body block. Just yesterday in a dragon fight, I managed to snipe their fed Jinx through the chaos because the visual clarity on the ult made it easier to track who I was actually targeting.

Compared to other Caitlyn skins like Arcade or even Pool Party, Sheriff just feels right. The western theme fits her kit perfectly and the sound effects aren't obnoxious like some of her other options. It's definitely not pay-to-win but the cleaner animations probably give you a tiny edge in lane trades. For 520 RP this is insane value compared to what you get with most other legacy skins.

Is Sheriff Caitlyn worth it? If you main ADC or play Caitlyn even occasionally, this is a no-brainer purchase when it shows up in Your Shop. My experience with Sheriff Caitlyn convinced me that sometimes the older, simpler skins just hit different. GG to whoever designed this one because it's aged like fine wine.
