Shan Hai Scrolls Nautilus

A guardian who helped seal the mad god Jhin within a holy waterfall, as depicted within the mysterious painting known as the Shan Hai Scrolls. Over the millenia, Jhin has whispered of power, freedom, and true godhood to Nautilus, until he finally released him. Now twisted with anger, Nautilus's rivers run not with water, but molten magma.

Been spamming this skin for about 80 games now after pulling it from a chest, and honestly the Shan Hai Scrolls aesthetic completely transforms how Nautilus feels to play. Where base Naut feels like dragging around a rusty anchor, this skin makes every hook feel like you're commanding some ancient sea deity. The Q animation has this smoother cancel that's saved me countless times when I need to reposition quickly after a missed hook attempt.

The real difference shows during dragon fights when everyone's stacked up and visual clarity matters. Your ult is way easier to track with that jade wave effect compared to Astronautilus where I sometimes lose track of who I even ulted in the chaos. And the W shield looks absolutely insane when you pop it, like you're surrounded by mystical water instead of that basic metal look. Had a game yesterday where I tower dove their fed ADC and the cleaner animation on my passive root actually let me time the auto perfectly between tower shots, something that always felt clunky on base skin.

Compared to other Nautilus skins like Worldbreaker or even the classic Astronautilus, Shan Hai Scrolls sits in this sweet spot where it's not just cosmetic but doesn't give you an unfair advantage either. The E feels slightly more responsive when laying down the AOE, probably just psychological but I swear the explosions register faster visually. Is Shan Hai Scrolls Nautilus worth it if you main the champion? Absolutely, especially if you can snag it on sale. But if you're just picking him up occasionally, maybe stick with something cheaper since 1350 RP is a bit steep for a support skin you might use twice a month.
