Got Shan Hai Scrolls Cho'Gath from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually run Dark Star. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming. The whole mystical scroll aesthetic hits different when you're actually playing it, especially with how the Q rupture feels way more responsive than base skin. That golden ink effect when you land it just pops off visually and I swear the animation cancel into W feels smoother.

The ult is where this skin really shines compared to other Cho'Gath skins. Where Dark Star has that cosmic crunch, Shan Hai gives you this insane golden dragon bite that's probably the cleanest feast animation in his whole collection. Had a dragon fight yesterday where I was sitting at 10 stacks and the enemy team couldn't tell if I was in feast range because the visual clarity is actually better than most skins. My W silence cone shows up super clear with those scroll effects too, making it easier to land in teamfights when everyone's abilities are going off.

Is Shan Hai Scrolls Cho'Gath worth it if you're buying with RP? At 1350 RP it's not cheap, but compared to other Cho'Gath skins this one delivers both aesthetically and functionally. The E spikes have this satisfying ink splash on impact that makes CS'ing feel crisp, and the whole skin just feels less clunky than Battlecast or Prehistoric. Not quite pay to win but definitely gives you slight advantages in visual clarity. If you main Cho or play him regularly, this is worth grabbing when it goes on sale.
