Sentinel Pyke

Picked up Sentinel Pyke from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I'm usually running PROJECT or Sand Wraith. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would.

The Q feels insanely smooth compared to base Pyke, like the hook animation has this crisp release that makes timing easier. His E dash has this white ghost trail that's actually cleaner than most of his other skins, and the ult is probably the best part. When you pop off with that execute, the golden cross effect is super satisfying and somehow feels more responsive than PROJECT's digital explosion. During a baron fight yesterday, I landed a triple ult chain and the visual clarity was perfect. Each reset was super obvious with the bright effects, which helped me track who still had my mark in the chaos.

Compared to other Pyke skins, Sentinel sits right between PROJECT and Blood Moon for me. It doesn't have PROJECT's sound effects that I love, but the animations are less clunky than Blood Moon's heavy feel. The recall animation where he's reading that book is pretty cringe but good, gives him this weird scholarly vibe that doesn't match his murderer aesthetic at all. And the white armor actually makes you easier to spot in river fights, so it's definitely not pay-to-win.

Is Sentinel Pyke worth it if you're thinking about buying? For Pyke mains who already have PROJECT, maybe wait for a sale. But if you're looking for your first premium Pyke skin, this one's solid. The smoother animations alone make the 1350 RP reasonable, especially if you're gonna spam him in ranked.
