Scorched Earth Renekton

Been maining Renekton since season 8 and finally decided to grab Scorched Earth after seeing it pop off in my games constantly. After about 120 games with it, I can honestly say this skin changes how the croc feels compared to other Renekton skins.

The W animation feels way smoother than base skin, making those quick trades in lane more responsive when you're trying to bait out their flash. His empowered Q has this satisfying fire sweep that's actually clearer to see in teamfights, which helps when you're trying to heal off a minion wave while getting dove. But the real difference is the ult transformation. It's probably the cleanest animation he has, and you can actually tell when you're about to lose the bonus health. During a baron fight yesterday, I could time my Zhonya's perfectly because the visual cues are that much better than something like Pool Party where everything just looks wet and confusing.

Scorched Earth definitely feels less clunky than most of his older skins. The auto attack cancels flow better, especially when you're fed and trying to delete their ADC with the classic combo. It's not quite pay to win, but there's something about the clearer hitbox indicators that makes CS'ing under tower easier. Maybe I'm just tilted from using Renektoy for so long, but this skin actually makes mechanical plays feel achievable.

Is Scorched Earth Renekton worth it? For anyone who plays him regularly, absolutely. My experience with Scorched Earth Renekton has been nothing but positive, and at 975 RP it's probably the best value skin he has. Should you buy Scorched Earth Renekton over Prehistoric or Hextech? Unless you're collecting, this one takes the win every time.
