Scarlet Hammer Poppy

Picked this up from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Battle Regalia or Noxus Poppy. After about 55 games with Scarlet Hammer though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to other Poppy skins in her roster.

The Q animation feels noticeably smoother when last hitting cannon minions, and I swear the hammer swing on her passive auto has better visibility than base skin. Her W shield looks way more defined too, which helps in those messy teamfights where you're trying to track cooldowns. But the real difference is her E wall stun animation. Something about the impact effect makes it easier to tell if you're gonna hit the wall or not, especially when you're diving under tower and need that perfect angle. Lost count of how many times I've secured kills because I could judge the E distance better than with her other skins.

Compared to Battle Regalia, Scarlet Hammer definitely feels more responsive overall. The ult windup is probably the same frame data but visually it reads cleaner, which matters when you're trying to knock their fed ADC into next week during dragon fights. Is Scarlet Hammer Poppy worth it? For 975 RP it's not exactly cheap, but if you're a Poppy main who wants every edge you can get, this skin's clarity improvements make it worth considering.

Not quite pay to win, but it's close enough that I've stopped using my other skins. My experience with Scarlet Hammer Poppy convinced me that sometimes the right skin can make you play just a bit better, even if it's mostly mental. Would recommend grabbing it next time it goes on sale.
