Santa Draven

Draven always knew he would make the perfect Santa. He's handsome, his hair is incredible, he has a great sense of fashion, he's defeated hundreds in the Noxian fighting pits, and his flying axes are super sharp—the perfect Santa, more or less.

Grabbed Santa Draven from a chest last week and wasn't expecting much from a legacy skin, but after around 35 games with it, I'm actually impressed. The skin feels way smoother than I thought it would, especially compared to my usual Primetime Draven that I've been running for years.

The Q axes spinning with candy cane effects might seem like pure cosmetic fluff, but they're actually easier to track in teamfights. Had a dragon fight yesterday where I could perfectly see all three axes bouncing even with Brand's ult going off and Lux throwing her combo. The W speed boost has this subtle jingle bell sound that helps me time my next axe catch better, and the E feels more responsive when you need to cancel someone's engage. But what really sold me was the ult having clearer hitbox visibility with that giant present animation. You know exactly where it's gonna hit, which helped me snipe their ADC recalling behind tier two tower.

Is Santa Draven worth it compared to other Draven skins? If you can snag it during Snowdown Showdown, absolutely. The skin's aged surprisingly well for something from 2012, and while Gladiator or Soul Reaver might look cooler, Santa actually gives you slight clarity advantages that matter when you're trying to CS while poking. It's not exactly pay to win, but those candy cane axes are probably the easiest to track of all his skins. My experience with Santa Draven has been way better than expected, and I'm keeping it as my main skin even though I own five others. Worth picking up if you main the champ and want something that's both festive and functional.
